Raspberry Pi's New Keyboard Computer: A Powerful Upgrade!

Raspberry Pi has just launched a new version of its compact computer-in-a-keyboard, known as the Raspberry Pi 500. This upgraded model comes with improved features and performance from the Raspberry Pi 5 microcomputer, which was introduced last September. The Raspberry Pi 500 is now available, starting at $90, which is $20 more than the previous model, the Raspberry Pi 400, that was launched in late 2020. What do you get for the extra cost? A powerful 2. 4GHz 64-bit quad-core Arm Cortex-A76 processor and 8GB of RAM. If you want more than just the computer keyboard, there's a $120 Desktop Kit that includes the Raspberry Pi 500, a matching mouse, a 27W USB-C power supply, a single micro HDMI cable, and a printed copy of the Raspberry Pi Beginner’s Guide book.

For those who want a complete desktop solution, Raspberry Pi is also introducing a display. The $100 Raspberry Pi Monitor features a 15. 6-inch full HD IPS panel with built-in speakers and a folding stand. This display can be powered directly from a Raspberry Pi microcomputer, but you'll only get 60% brightness and 50% volume. With its own power supply, you'll unlock full brightness and volume. The Raspberry Pi 500 has a compact tenkeyless design with various ports on the back. It includes an 800MHz VideoCore VII GPU, a 40-pin Raspberry Pi GPIO connector, support for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, multiple USB ports, a gigabit ethernet port, and a microSD card slot with a preloaded 32GB card running the Debian-based Raspberry Pi OS.
