The Kremlin's spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, has assured everyone that these visits are just routine check-ups. Independent sources like Meduza reported that Peskov told a Tass reporter that these medical examinations are preventative measures. Putin himself has mentioned these routine check-ups before, even encouraging Russians to get flu vaccinations during a televised session. There's been a lot of talk about Putin's health, especially since Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Some U. S. intelligence leaders have suggested that Putin might have been treated for cancer. However, Kremlin officials insist that these hospital visits are nothing out of the ordinary.

Meanwhile, Russia's military has been facing significant losses in Ukraine.
