President Trump's Back: Pardoning Attackers and Detaining Refugees
Washington, D.C., USAFriday, January 24, 2025
In his inaugural speech, Trump painted a dark picture of America. He claimed to be sent by God to fix it. But his actions suggest a different priority. Violent criminals loyal to him get pardons, while desperate people who need help are seen as dangerous. It's a flip of who's a hero and who's a criminal. Past presidents, like Biden, had compassion for these refugees. They didn't cause any harm. But Trump is turning his back on them, all while letting violent criminals go free.
This is the America we might see under Trump. It's one where the rich keep getting special treatment, while the middle and working classes face cuts. Those who attack democracy might be favored over those who value it. Trump's promise of freedom and free speech seems to have conditions. He quickly revoked security clearance for officials who criticized him. Even a reverend's sermon about compassion annoyed him.
