The upcoming presidential election is turning into a real cliffhanger. With just days to go, former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are running neck and neck. According to recent polls, Trump has closed the gap that Harris had, making the race incredibly tight.

One of the latest polls, by Emerson College, found both candidates at 49%, with 1% undecided and another 1% planning to vote for a third-party candidate. This survey also showed that male voters seem to favor Trump more, while female voters lean towards Harris—a reversal from the 2020 election.

That's not all. When asked who they think would win the election regardless of their personal vote, more people said Trump. However, Harris still holds a slim lead in favorability ratings. Trump might be growing in support, but Harris isn't far behind.

A similar poll from the 2020 election showed a different trend, with Biden slightly ahead of Trump. But as we all know, polls can sometimes be wrong. The real winner of an election isn’t decided by national polls, but rather by the states and their Electoral College votes.

Other national polls paint a similar picture. A New York Times/Siena College poll also shows Trump and Harris tied at 48%. Even a Wall Street Journal poll puts Trump slightly ahead, though within their margin of error.

Political experts are keeping a close eye on key states, which could swing the final result. Currently, the forecast favors Trump slightly, but it's still anyone's game.
