Plane Grounded After Unwanted Drone Encounter Over Wildfires
Los Angeles, USASaturday, January 11, 2025
Every year, the Canadian province of Quebec sends two of these planes to California to help fight wildfires. It's part of a long-standing agreement between the two regions. Along with the planes, they send a team of pilots and technicians to make sure everything runs smoothly.
The drone incident is now being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). They've made it clear that drones shouldn't be flying in areas where firefighters are working. It's dangerous and can slow down the response to the fire, which is a big deal.
