Patriots' Tough Day: Standouts, Struggles, and Lessons Learned
Miami, USAMonday, November 25, 2024
However, not everyone had a great day. Vederian Lowe and Demontrey Jacobs, the Patriots' tackles, were the main culprits for penalties. They were flagged six times, and they also struggled in pass protection, allowing two sacks and 11 combined pressures. Jacobs ended up on the bench in favor of Sidy Sow.
Safety Kyle Dugger had a rough game, too. He struggled with communication issues in the secondary and was involved in three of Miami’s touchdowns. Dugger also missed a potential interception and was flagged for defensive pass interference.
Kayshon Boutte, a wide receiver, had some chemistry issues with quarterback Drake Maye. He caught only one of his four targets for six yards and was flagged twice for offensive pass interference.
The kicking and punting game had its share of problems as well. Joey Slye missed his only field goal attempt, and Bryce Baringer had a misfire before halftime.
