Patriots Player Explores Hollywood Dreams
A young linebacker from New England recently took a break from football to visit Hollywood.
He joined the NFL Career Tour, which lets players meet people in different industries. The tour took him to Paramount Studios and a film company called Hidden Empire.
He saw how movies are made on a real set and even helped shoot his own scene from the 2017 horror movie “Get Out.”
Gainer worked with a director, actors and producers. He also met an executive producer who guided the group.
He liked learning from experts at Hidden Empire about short films and other film projects. The experience showed him how to make a trailer and work with creative teams.
Before this, he spent the season on New England’s practice squad. After being cut by another team, the Patriots signed him for the rest of the year and gave him a future contract. He will have a full offseason to try again on the field.
Off the field, he enjoys trying new things. Last year he visited a luxury brand and learned about fashion. Now he is learning about movies, meeting people in the industry and building contacts.
Gainer feels comfortable on camera. He often posts videos of his travels and streams video games. His past experience in high school and college helped him feel at ease when filming.
He hopes to use his football skills to grow in entertainment. He wants to learn about animation, voice acting and film production for a future after football.
