Patriots Eye Veteran Edge Rusher for Short‑Term Boost
USA Massachusetts Foxborough,Monday, June 15, 2026
The team already brought in two new edge rushers. One is a veteran signed to a three‑year deal, and the other was drafted in the second round. These two will replace a player who left for Washington. Together, they are expected to lead the team’s pass rush.
Beyond those two, the Patriots have a handful of younger options. Some are still developing and may not match the veteran’s production. A one‑year deal with the experienced player would give the Patriots a chance to reach the playoffs without blocking younger talent.
Jordan’s experience and reliability make him an attractive short‑term upgrade. He has a strong sack average over the last five seasons and can contribute immediately. The Patriots could use his presence to improve their defense while keeping options open for the future.
