Pain in Lipedema: New Ways to Measure
GermanyWednesday, December 25, 2024
Researchers found 28 women with lipedema and tested them. Both methods showed excellent results. PPT and HHS were consistent (scores ranged from 0. 93 to 0. 97) and their readings didn't vary much (3. 62% to 9. 06%). Plus, HHS readings matched PPT readings pretty well (scores from 0. 69 to 0. 74). This means HHS could be a cheaper, easier way to diagnose lipedema.
This is a big deal because it helps doctors better understand lipedema pain. It also offers a simple, cost-effective tool for diagnosis.
