So, what is Symptom Radar all about? Every morning, it looks at your body's signals, like heart rate and temperature, to spot early signs of respiratory strain. This can include signs of a cold or flu. The feature then shows these signs in three levels: no signs, minor signs, and major signs. It also keeps a history graph so you can see trends over time.

Symptom Radar works by comparing your current biometric data with your usual patterns. If it detects any changes, like a higher temperature, it alerts you. If you're not feeling well, the app suggests you switch to Rest Mode. This mode helps you focus on getting better by pausing activity goals and highlighting recovery metrics in your Readiness Score.

Oura has been working on fever and illness monitoring since 2020. The Symptom Radar feature is the result of years of development and improvement. Even with the Oura Ring 3, you can access this new feature by December 9, 2024.
