NYC High School Application Deadline Extended After Online Glitch
Thursday, December 5, 2024
The trouble stemmed from a new feature that gave incorrect chances of getting into two selective Manhattan high schools. This feature, marked by orange bars, was meant to guide families. It seems there was an error in the seat availability for NYC Lab School for Collaborative Studies and Millennium High School.
The schools saw changes in their application processes this year, with a renewed priority for Manhattan-based applicants. The city is standing by the new feature, which they say helps families make better decisions.
With the extended deadline, families can now reorder, remove, or add choices to their applications. High school offers are set to be released on March 6.
