Nvidia's AI Ambition: From Gaming to Autonomous Cars

Everyone knows Nvidia for their gaming chips, but the company has much bigger plans. At the recent CES 2025 tech show, CEO Jensen Huang unveiled a new roadmap focusing on artificial intelligence (AI) in self-driving cars, robotics, and other cutting-edge fields. Nvidia is also cooking up new video game chips and more powerful, yet affordable hardware. Huang believes self-driving cars could become a trillion-dollar industry first!

But to achieve this, Nvidia relies on a key principle called scaling laws. More computing power means better AI models, so companies like Microsoft might need to keep upgrading their hardware. Besides new hardware, Nvidia is developing software to make AI training both cheaper and more efficient. Despite a recent dip in their stock prices, Nvidia's future looks promising.
