While the plot is underbaked and the action sequences lack excitement, the true star of the show is the chemistry between Clooney and Pitt. Their infectious movie-star energy is evident throughout, and their scenes together are both funny and touching. Austin Abrams' supporting performance also adds a new dimension to the film, bringing a youthful energy and humor to the role.
Director Jon Watts' steady and observant style brings a slick aesthetic to the film, but it also feels a bit too polished at times. The cinematography by Larkin Seiple is sharp, and the score is catchy, but the pacing of the film is slow and meandering.
In the end, Wolfs is a film that works better as a hang-out movie than a crime thriller. While it may not be the most exciting film, it's an enjoyable time spent with two talented actors who have a natural chemistry that is undeniable.
