North Korean Troops Enter Ukraine

Surprise move! North Korean troops have already sneaked into Ukraine, says two western intel people. They say the number will grow as these troops finish training in Russia. This is more than what NATO and the Pentagon said earlier. One official even said some North Koreans are already in action. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also said last week that these troops might start fighting on Sunday. But the US can’t confirm this yet. They’re still catching up on North Korea’s moves. US and South Korea are meeting in DC this week to talk about this and North Korea’s cozy relationship with Russia. Top Ukrainian official Andriy Yermak is also there, meeting with top US officials.

Experts aren’t sure if the North Koreans will help much. They haven’t fought in a real war for over 70 years. But their government sent them for combat experience. Some troops might even run away once they’re on the battlefield! Russian soldiers are also worried about commanding and supplying these North Korean soldiers. Language is a big barrier too. South Korean lawmakers said Russians are teaching North Koreans basic commands like “fire” and “in position”. More North Korean troops might come. South Korea thinks there are around 13, 000 in Russia right now. They’ve also given Russia lots of ammo. The US is asking China to stop North Korea. But they don’t think China will do much. China is still helping Russia’s war.
