New Year's Survivor Back Home in Baton Rouge
Baton Rouge, USATuesday, January 7, 2025
Parker and Kareem were in New Orleans to celebrate the New Year. They were both graduates of the class of 2024 from Episcopal High School. The attack occurred around 3:11 a. m. on January 1. Jabbar drove for almost three blocks before crashing into heavy machinery near Conti Street. After the crash, he got out of the vehicle and started shooting at the police, injuring two officers who are now stable.
This tragic event has reminded everyone about the importance of safety during big celebrations. Authorities are still investigating the motive behind the attack. Parker's recovery journey has been tough, and the community is rallying around him with support and donations.
A GoFundMe page was created to help Parker and his family deal with the financial stress of his recovery. It's a great way for the community to show their support and care for one of their own.
