Andrew Llinares, who steered Fremantle’s global entertainment slate for three years, will step down in spring. The company has not named a successor; the global segment will report to CEO Jennifer Mullin until a new head is appointed.

Llinares expressed a desire to return to hands‑on show creation and personal creativity. During his tenure he helped shape many of Fremantle’s hit formats, producing five seasons of Dancing with the Stars and previously running shows such as The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, both co‑produced by the firm. The studio also boasts titles like Got Talent, Too Hot To Handle and The Piano.

Mullin praised Llinares as a visionary, noting their long partnership and his role in delivering iconic programs. She highlighted how his leadership and creative insight drove the company’s success.

Llinares reflected on his decision as “tough but necessary,” thanking Fremantle’s worldwide teams and expressing gratitude for the experience. He acknowledged a strong urge to dive back into content creation, hinting that future collaborations are likely and that he looks forward to new creative projects.
