Kalispell, Montana, USAMonday, May 4, 2026
Mission‑Driven Leadership
Adam Naumann steps into the role of chief executive at Greater Valley Health Center with a clear mission: to widen access for people who cannot afford insurance. After nearly twenty years in health‑administration, he is ready to build on the groundwork laid by former CEO Mary Sterhan.
A Brief History
- 2007 – Founded as Flathead Community Health Center, part of the local health department.
- 2021 – Became an independent nonprofit and adopted its current name.
Since then, the organization has grown from a $5 million budget to over $26 million, doubling its staff. It now owns:
- Sykes Pharmacies
- School‑based clinics in Kalispell and Evergreen
- A mobile support unit
A new building on Third Ave. E. houses medical, dental, behavioral health and care‑management services under one roof.
Naumann’s Strategic Vision
| Initiative | Year | Impact |
|---|---|---|
| Add a mobile clinic | 2026 | Extend care into remote areas |
| Expand core services (primary, dental, behavioral) | Ongoing | Broader patient reach |
| Grow patient‑navigator team | 2024 | Ease cost, treatment, and Medicaid navigation |
Personal Touch
Naumann looks forward to summer, when his wife and children will join him in Montana. They enjoy water activities and are excited to explore the lakes and rivers of Northwest Montana.
