The National Weather Service has issued winter weather alerts for five counties:

- Hunterdon
- Morris
- Warren
- Parts of Passaic
The storm is expected to hit hardest on Tuesday, making the morning commute tricky for many.
Snowfall Expectations
- Sussex County: 4 to 7 inches of snow.
- Hunterdon, Morris, Warren, and northern Passaic: 1 to 5 inches.
The storm will start as snow but quickly turn to rain as the day goes on, making roads slippery and dangerous.
Temperature Variations
- Up north: Mid-30s.
- Down south and along the coast: Mid-40s.
Strong winds will add to the chill, making it feel even colder. By Tuesday evening, the storm will move out, but the cold will stick around.
Overnight Temperatures
- Drop into the 20s, which could lead to black ice on the roads.
Wednesday: A Brief Respite
- Sunny skies and highs in the 30s to low 40s.
Thursday: Another Cold Front
- Lows dropping into the teens.
- Wind chills could make it feel like the single digits.
Friday: Staying Cold
- Highs only in the upper 20s to low 30s.
- Another storm might hit Friday night into Saturday, but it's still unclear if it'll bring rain or snow.
Either way, New Jersey is in for a chilly week.
