New Hands on the Greens: A Fresh Chapter for Blackberry Ridge

Sartell, USASunday, July 5, 2026

Blackberry Ridge Golf Club in Sartell has welcomed two new owners:

  • Joshua Carpenter – Founder of Carpenter Family Foods and Dana’s Kitchen & Catering food trucks, with expertise in business development and real estate investment.
  • Rick Burski – Owner of Burski Excavating, a local excavation firm.

Both come from Central Minnesota business circles and bring a blend of food, construction, and real estate experience to the club.

A Legacy Continues

The land that hosts Blackberry Ridge was originally owned by brothers Donnie and Veryl Fenlason. They built the course on their family property, hiring renowned designer Joel Goldstrand to craft its layout. After Donnie’s passing, his wife Kittie and Veryl’s wife Linda managed the day‑to‑day operations. Their partnership lasted many years until Linda stepped down, and Kittie brought in their son Wes. Together, they upheld the Fenlason family legacy for a quarter of a century.

Seamless Transition

  • The club will continue operating normally during the ownership change.
  • All services—including tee times, memberships, leagues, tournaments, wedding events, dining, and scheduled gatherings—remain fully functional.
  • Members and visitors can expect no disruption as the new owners assume control.

The transition marks a fresh chapter while honoring the rich history that has shaped Blackberry Ridge Golf Club.
