ChinaSunday, January 5, 2025
Early 2025 data from China shows an increase in flu-like illnesses, especially among younger kids in the northern parts. Neighboring health officials are trying to keep people calm, reminding everyone that respiratory illnesses usually rise during colder months. India's Dr. Atul Goel from the Directorate General of Health Services said there hasn't been a significant increase in respiratory outbreaks in India. Malaysia's Ministry of Health noted that hMPV infections aren't new and are expected to rise during cold seasons. Pakistan's Ministry of National Health Services is keeping a close eye on the situation and planning a response strategy.
