Mizuki’s power drops in latest Overwatch update

The latest game update for Overwatch just took a swing at one of its newest heroes, Mizuki. Players who loved using him for area healing now have to adjust their strategy because his protective wall, called Kekkai Sanctuary, works differently. Before, the wall blocked incoming attacks but now it blocks attacks both ways. That means Mizuki and his team can’t just hide inside and shoot at enemies outside. Teams facing Mizuki’s ultimate now have an easier choice: stay outside and avoid damage or push in with better health since they won’t get chipped away at on the way. The wall also heals less and disappears faster.

It’s not just Mizuki getting a change. Emre, another new hero, lost some of his grenade impact and healing power while Sierra, the latest addition, saw her weapon tweaked. Game updates usually aim to keep matches fair, but sometimes fans feel these changes go too far. The update does bring one welcome change though. Leveling up heroes now takes less time, so players can unlock rewards and boost their profiles quicker, which addresses a common frustration. Critics wonder if nerfing new heroes so soon after launch helps or hurts the game’s balance. Some argue that fresh heroes need room to grow while others say adjustments keep competition healthy. Either way, players will need to rethink how they use these heroes in matches now.
