Sartell faced Moorhead, but it was Moorhead who came out on top with a final score of 52-14. Austin Lahr and Levi Frieler connected for a passing touchdown, and Tyson Newville-Larson sprinted for a 42-yard touchdown run. Glencoe-Silver Lake had a tough night against New London-Spicer, ending at 0-21. Osakis showed great strength against Paynesville, finishing the game at 52-8.
Sauk Centre faced Pierz and although they put up a good fight, they came up short with a final score of 14-50. Becker had an impressive showing against Rocori, ending with a score of 30-14. Grant Tylutki and Dylan Thompson each rushed for a touchdown to help the Spartans secure the win.
Royalton faced St. Cloud Cathedral, with Henry Schloe throwing two passing touchdowns to help the Crusaders take the lead and finish at 6-21. Rockford had a tough night against Albany, ending at 7-43. Boone Roemeling from Rockford threw four touchdown passes, three of which went to Ethan Meyer.
These games show that while some teams are finding their stride, others still have work to do. The night was filled with surprises and big plays that kept everyone on the edge of their seats.
