Microsoft's Big Boss Gets Big Bonus, While Workers Lose Jobs
Redmond, USASunday, October 27, 2024
In its recent regulatory filing, Microsoft disclosed that Nadella's salary remained at $2. 5 million, with a cash bonus of $5. 2 million. Most of his compensation comes from performance-based stock awards. Despite cutting jobs, including shutting down popular game studios, Microsoft's market cap continues to rise. The question remains: why isn't some of this extra money being used to retain talented employees and support innovative game development?
For now, gaming enthusiasts should look forward to new releases in 2024 and beyond. But it's hard not to wonder if the company's priorities are aligned with its workforce and the gaming community.
