MH370 Search: New Hope with Ocean Infinity's Fresh Approach
Southern Indian OceanFriday, December 20, 2024
Back in 2014, the Boeing 777 disappeared with 239 people on board, mainly Chinese nationals. It was flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing when it lost contact. Satellite data suggests it headed towards the southern Indian Ocean. Previous searches, including one by Ocean Infinity in 2018, found no clues, except for some debris on African shores.
Ocean Infinity's CEO, Oliver Plunkett, says their tech has improved since then. They're working with experts to analyze data and narrow down the search area. The Malaysian government is set to finalize negotiations with the firm in early 2025, with the search expected to happen between January and April.
