Mendota’s Big‑Family Musical Adventure
The Mendota Education Foundation is bringing a new musical show to the town this week. The production, based on Disney’s classic film and the original books by P. L. Travers, will open at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, July 31 to August 1. A daytime performance is scheduled for Sunday, August 2 at the high school auditorium.
The story follows the Banks family living on Cherry Tree Lane in London. Their children, Jane and Michael, are unruly, and their parents feel helpless until a mysterious nanny named Mary Poppins appears. With her magical bag of tricks, she leads the family on a series of adventures that show how imagination can change everyday life.
