Meet Mico: Microsoft's New AI Buddy for Copilot
Introducing Mico: A Friendly AI Companion
Microsoft is introducing Mico, a new character for its AI assistant, Copilot. Mico is designed to make interactions feel more personal and less robotic. Inspired by the classic Clippy from Microsoft Office, Mico reacts to your input with expressions and color changes, but its use is entirely optional.
New Conversation Styles and Personalization
Copilot is getting updated conversation styles, including a "real talk" option that adapts to your personality. This makes interactions more engaging and helpful. Additionally, Copilot will now remember important details, such as dates or events, and may bring them up in future conversations.
Collaborative Features and Health Companion
A new feature allows you to invite others to join your Copilot chats, making it easier to collaborate on projects, co-write documents, or brainstorm ideas. Microsoft is also launching "Copilot for health", an AI companion that provides reliable health information and helps you find doctors based on your location and language.
A More Centralized AI Experience
These updates are part of Microsoft's goal to make Copilot a central part of your PC experience. While some users may prefer to remove Copilot from Windows, these enhancements offer more options and personalization, giving users greater control over their AI assistant.
