Meet Linda McMahon: From WWE to Trump's Education Pick
Connecticut, USAWednesday, November 20, 2024
Linda ran for a U. S. Senate seat in Connecticut twice but lost both times. Undeterred, she supported Trump financially, contributing $6 million to his 2016 presidential campaign. She also served on Connecticut's Board of Education and Sacred Heart University's board of trustees.
Despite her background, Linda is relatively unknown in education circles. However, she supports charter schools and school choice. After Trump's victory in 2016, he appointed her to lead the Small Business Administration, praising her accomplishments.
Linda stayed active in Trump's orbit, chairing a super PAC for his 2020 reelection and later helping to establish the America First Policy Institute. She's now playing a key role in planning Trump's potential future administration.
