Malaysia's New Search for MH370: A Second Chance
Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaSaturday, December 21, 2024
Relatives of the passengers are happy about the new search. They've been waiting for a long time, and this gives them hope. But some think the search should involve more people and be more open.
Flight MH370 disappeared in 2014. It lost contact with air traffic control soon after takeoff. Investigators think it crashed in the southern Indian Ocean, but they don't know why. Some people have even suggested crazy theories, like the plane was shot down.
In 2018, an investigation showed that someone might have changed the plane's course. But they didn't find out who did it or why. Finding the wreckage is the only way to get a definite answer.
