Loneliness Among Latin American Caregivers During COVID-19
LATAMWednesday, November 27, 2024
The severity of COVID-19 infections added another layer of stress. Caregivers had to be extra cautious, which meant even less social interaction. On top of that, access to support services was limited. Caregiving is tough, and without proper support, it can feel overwhelming.
It's crucial to understand this impact. Why? Because loneliness isn't just about feeling sad. It can affect both physical and mental health. Caregivers need to be taken care of too. So, what can be done? Maybe we need to find new ways to connect and support them, even during a pandemic.
