Lithuania's film scene is abuzz with a new crime drama called The Activist. This movie is the third in a series by director Romas Zabarauskas, following "The Lawyer" and "The Writer." It stars Robertas Petraitis, who you might know from "The Southern Chronicles," Lithuania's hopeful Oscar contender.
The Story
The story kicks off with a shocking murder. Deividas, a well-known human rights activist, is killed just before a big LGBTQ+ march in Kaunas. His secret lover, Andrius, is left heartbroken and guilty. He decides to investigate the murder himself and finds out that Deividas had many enemies.
The Cast
The cast is packed with talented actors:
- Vaslov Goom plays Bernardas, who's trying to keep the activist group Rainbow alive.
- Reda Dominaityte plays a politician, Rolanda Markeviciene.
- There are also neo-Nazis in the mix, played by Karolis Kasperavicius and Arnoldas Augustaitis.
