Lenovo's Rollable Laptop Arrives: A Unique Device for $3, 500
Las Vegas, USATuesday, January 7, 2025
Lenovo ensured the device is durable, with the hinge tested for at least 30, 000 closings and 20, 000 rolls. The screen's animation, reminiscent of rolling dough, adds a fun touch but can be turned off. Despite some visible creases, the screen performs well for typical usage.
The laptop also comes with up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 Series 2 processor, 1TB SSD, and 32GB of DDR5x dual-channel RAM. However, it lacks a variety of ports, offering only two Thunderbolt 4 ports and a 3. 5mm headphone jack. Lenovo has designed the extra screen space to work as a second monitor, but the current software setup has its limitations, especially with window snapping.
While the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 is exciting, its software might limit its full potential. It remains to be seen how its rollable feature will fare in long-term usage.
