Learn Sign Language in Three Weeks – Free Course for All
A new free three‑week class is starting soon, welcoming everyone—from families and beginners to people who are deaf or hard of hearing—to learn American Sign Language (ASL) and baby sign. The course is hosted by OSF HealthCare in partnership with the Illinois Valley Community College Continuing Education Center at the OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center in Peru.
Schedule
- When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
- Dates: May 12 – May 28
No previous experience is required; the program is designed for newcomers.
What You’ll Learn
- Everyday signs useful at home and in health‑care settings
- Basic vocabulary about feelings and medical terms
