Kids, Tech in Class Is Not Helping Them Learn

Technology companies sell devices and apps with promises of great learning, yet their real goal is profit.
They want every student to stay in their ecosystem so they can earn more money later. Apps are designed to keep kids “engaged” and collect data, but they often ignore skills like creativity or discussion that help true learning. Schools can also get stuck with one vendor, making it hard to switch to better tools.
