The Gweedo Memorial Foundation and LifeSafer ISA are collaborating to showcase innovative technology designed to enhance teen driver safety. This event offers real-life demonstrations and a chance to win a Nintendo Switch.
The Importance of the Event
Speeding remains a critical issue, particularly among young drivers. In 2023, over 5,000 people in the U.S. lost their lives in teen-related crashes. In Virginia alone, more than 900 fatalities occurred in traffic accidents the following year, with 410 attributed to speeding. This event highlights how new technology can help prevent such tragedies.
Post-Event Celebration
After the safety showcase, an 80s-themed dance party will take place to welcome the new year. This fundraiser is exclusive to attendees 21 and over and features:
- Food and drinks
- Silent auction
- Live music
Ticket Prices: $55.20 to $402
