Windows 10 users have a new option to extend their security updates. While commercial users can buy up to three years of support, personal users get just one year at a reasonable price.

Microsoft isn't abandoning Windows 10 entirely. It will still provide security intelligence updates for Defender Antivirus until at least October 2028. However, the tech giant is eager for users to switch to Windows 11. In a recent blog post, Microsoft encouraged users to make the transition, highlighting their commitment to smoothing out the change. Initially, Microsoft touted Windows 10 as the "last version of Windows. " Obviously, things didn't go as planned. The End of Support date is a reminder to Windows 10 diehards that change is inevitable.
