Her blood tests and other health checks also came back normal. Dr. Simmons has been her main doctor for about 3 1/2 years.

On the family health front, Harris' mom had colon cancer, and Harris keeps up with recommended health checks like colonoscopies and mammograms. She needs contact lenses for mild nearsightedness. Her campaign hopes this health report will highlight the difference between her and former President Trump, who hasn't shared much about his health, especially after that recent assassination attempt. Trump's health has been a hot topic ever since he questioned President Biden's health during the last election. Last year, Trump wished Biden a happy birthday and shared a letter from his doctor saying he was in excellent health, but the letter didn't have any details about his weight, blood pressure, or test results. Harris' office released her medical report and also pointed out recent stories that raised questions about Trump's health and mental sharpness.
