The new Joker movie, "Folie à Deux", has critics divided. The film premiered at the Venice Film Festival in September and received mixed responses. Some thought it was brilliant and captivating, while others found it boring and tiring. The Independent's Geoffrey Macnab gave it four stars, praising its psychological depth and Joaquin Phoenix's powerful performance. However, the movie's Rotten Tomatoes score has dropped from 61% to just 39%. Many critics are not happy with the story, songs, or the ending.

New York Times critic Manohla Dargis called it a half-baked musical, and Audrey Fox from Looper said it was a chaotic mess. Some reviews were more positive, like Danny Leigh's from The Financial Times who thought it was better than the first Joker movie. Joaquin Phoenix, who plays the Joker, lost weight for the role again but found it more challenging this time due to dance rehearsals.
