Join the Wildlife Photo Hunt in Florida

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission invites citizens to help track animals across the state. The new project runs on the Zooniverse platform and lets volunteers examine pictures from trail cameras spread over more than 6 million acres. These cameras record wildlife with minimal interference, but the images pile up fast. By labeling animals in each photo, volunteers give scientists useful data to monitor populations and ecosystem health. The work is simple: click on a photo, choose the species you see, and submit your answer. Even a few correct tags help researchers make better decisions about conservation.

Participants can spot many native species, such as white‑tailed deer, bobcats, black bears, wild turkeys, and wading birds.
