Did you know that the John Birch Society claims to support the U.S. Constitution and the original intent of the Founding Fathers? But is this really true? Let’s take a closer look. The John Birch Society, or JBS, was founded over 60 years ago with the aim of educating Americans about our constitution. However, they're not exactly teaching what you might expect. Instead of sticking to the Founding Fathers' vision, they promote something called the Austrian School of Economics. This school advocates for a completely free market economy without any government regulation.

Now, let’s compare this with what the Founding Fathers actually wrote in the Constitution. In Article 1, Section 8, it says that Congress has the power to coin money and regulate its value. This means they wanted some rules and oversight for our economy – not a free-for-all where big corporations call all the shots. So, if we line up these ideas on a spectrum from extreme libertarianism to Marxism, it’s clear that the JBS sees the Founding Fathers as too close to the Marxist side! This might seem strange at first, but it highlights just how much their views differ from what our nation was built on.
