JetBlue Takes Flight: Premium Perks at JFK and Boston
John F. Kennedy International AirportFriday, September 20, 2024
According to Jayne O'Brien, head of marketing and customer support at JetBlue, the lounges have been on the airline's radar for some time, and the timing is now right to offer these extra perks to their most valuable customers. "The lounges are a way for us to show our appreciation and provide an elevated experience for our loyal and premium travelers," O'Brien explains.
Though JetBlue remains tight-lipped about the cost of building and operating these luxurious spaces, industry reports suggest that revenue from premium passengers is growing faster than other segments for major carriers like American, Delta, and United.
The success of these first two lounges will likely influence JetBlue's decision to expand its premium offerings to other airports. "We'll be keeping a close eye on how these lounges perform before deciding on future locations," O'Brien hints.
