Is the Education Department in real trouble?

In a surprising move, The government started looking into getting rid of the United States Department of Education completely. There's no stopping people from thinking about whether or not it will actually happen. The information first got out two people with full knowledge of the plans. Initial talk of making sure the department goes away happened widely more than 15 years ago. Congress was never into the idea. Very few politicians have historically supported these ways. Yet the move is on the forefront of a recent idea that is begging to line up to the rest of our government.
