iPhone’s Secret White‑Noise Trick for Baby Sleep
USASunday, April 5, 2026
If you prefer a quick toggle, set up an Accessibility Shortcut. Go to Settings → Accessibility → Accessibility Shortcut and pick Background Sounds. Then press the side button three times on any screen to turn the feature on or off.
For more options, dive into Settings → Accessibility → Audio & Visual → Background Sounds. Here you can turn the feature on, choose a sound, and adjust two switches: “Use When Media Is Playing” keeps the noise running while you watch a video, and “Stop Sounds When Locked” turns it off when your phone locks. Newer iOS versions add an Equalizer to tweak tone and a Timer to stop the sound automatically after a set time.
These steps let parents use their iPhone as a quiet companion for babies, saving money and giving more time to rest.
