How Skin Conditions Affect Daily Life: A Look at Quality of Life from Patients' Perspectives
Sunday, January 19, 2025
Most patients were around 41 years old, and more than half were men. When they looked at the average scores across all methods, they found that patients rated their quality of life highest with TTO (0. 83), followed by EQ-5D-5L (0. 81), and lowest with mDLQI (0. 77).
Interestingly, only the TTO and EQ-5D-5L methods showed similar results. The severity of the skin condition affected all the ratings, but only TTO showed differences between the types of skin conditions. This means that the DLQI method might not be the best for comparing quality of life between different skin conditions.
So, if you're a patient or a doctor, it's important to understand that these methods don't always agree. Be careful when comparing results from different methods.
