At the heart of families, parents are either a superhero or a juggler, tackling the immense challenges of raising a disabled child. This involves physical work and personal sacrifices. These stresses of child disability  can lead to an unexpected sense of isolation,

depression or helplessness. Along this severe journey, however, there are important invisible aids such as social support, as it can appear in the form of friends, new brothers and sisters or people with similar circumstances.

Support can bring moments  joy, playtime and other moments of happiness  creating a sense of relief in stressful situations.

This concept was the focus of our study. Is there more to it ? Spiritual joy and community support ? Why is this topic so important? Let's break it down. The power of faith and community. The strong parent sees some light at the end of the darkness. People of faith generally have a mindset for the positive perspective and finding good in everything, brings hope and comfort whenever the light seems to flicker. Caregivers experiencing answered prayers, and spiritual joys like inner peace are more likely to cope with the burden of caregiving. They usually turn to meditation, prayer, and beliefs in a higher power to face the challenges they are handling.

Our study fixed on pin-pointing the two relationships of these two invisible aids that example social backing and the perceived joy experienced, a means of alleviating the burden of being a carer.

This study shows how social support assist parents who have conflicting schedules and brings in some feel of confidence, to any kind of optimism. It's a protecting factor. Spiritual joy, on the other hand, helps carers stay filled with peace and hope. It reduces the emotional stress. Ones who haven't seen this link, consider getting on the path quickly.

The dashed hope feels unbearable but many carers survive the storm maintaining their faith and values, leading to more on the cloud 9 after a session of faith and meditation. The smile you see on a parents face after prayer is contagious .

With that being said, when considering practical solutions for reducing the challenges faced by carers, it's important to consider creating more  social and spiritual support, both in the home and the communities. How should families respond? What can the broader community do to help? These questions should be the guiding factors when trying to provide some relief for these parents.
