A big fight night in Riyadh might be in trouble.  Daniel Dubois, the IBF heavyweight champion, is under the weather and might not be able to defend his title against Joseph Parker.  The news comes from Ariel Helwani, who reported the fight might be off.  Sky Sports said Dubois is being checked out, but Parker could end up facing a last-minute replacement if Dubois can't go.  This isn't the first time a fight has been cancelled.  Floyd Schofield had to pull out of his bout with WBC lightweight champ Shakur Stevenson, and was replaced by Josh Padley.

Dubois, with a record of 22 wins and 2 losses, including 21 knockouts, was set to defend his title for the first time.  He won the belt last September by knocking out Anthony Joshua at Wembley Stadium.  Before that, he was the IBF interim champion after beating Filip Hrgovic.

Joseph Parker, with 35 wins and 3 losses, including 23 knockouts, has been on a hot streak.  He's won his last few fights, including a big win against Deontay Wilder and a comeback victory over Zhilei Zhang.  He came back from being knocked down twice to win by majority decision.

The show still has plenty of action, even if Dubois can't fight.  The main event is the rematch between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol for the undisputed light heavyweight title.  Other big fights include Carlos Adames vs Hamzah Sheeraz for the WBC middleweight title, Joshua Buatsi vs Callum Smith for an interim light heavyweight title, Zhilei Zhang vs Agit Kabayel for an interim heavyweight title, and Vergil Ortiz Jr vs Israil Madrimov for an interim super welterweight belt.  Plus, there's Stevenson vs Padley.

The boxing world is watching to see if Dubois can recover in time.  If not, Parker will have to find a new opponent.  This could be a big test for the IBF heavyweight champion, and a chance for Parker to make a statement.  But it's also a reminder that even the best-laid plans can go awry in boxing.
