Health Hurdles Force Singer to Pause
Cody Simpson, the Australian pop star known for his breezy tunes, recently posted a photo of himself on crutches. The image shows him with a visibly dislocated knee, a new injury that followed a vocal problem he had dealt with earlier in the year. In May, Simpson revealed that a bleeding episode in his vocal cords had forced him to stop singing for weeks.
The two setbacks have left the artist unable to walk or sing, and he announced that he would skip upcoming shows while his body heals. He explained that after years of pushing himself, he now has to give his voice and joints a break.
Simpson said that the vocal injury happened because he kept recording while fighting an unnoticed sinus infection, and that he ignored early signs of strain. He continued to work until the damage became too severe to sing at all.
Now, with a dislocated knee from rehearsing a music video, he has postponed surgery until his leg heals. He added that he cannot dance or perform for months and will focus on recovery.
Despite the pause, Simpson assured fans that new projects are still in progress and that he plans to return stronger. He closed his post with an upbeat message, saying that nothing can keep him down.
