Girls Tennis and Boys Soccer Scores: A Quick Recap

Last Saturday, October 5th, was a big day for high school sports in the area. Let's dive into some of the highlights! In girls tennis, Sub Section 8AA had some exciting matches. Paige Tarrolly from St. Cloud Crush dominated her singles games, winning against Brooke Hennen from Sartell and Olivia Schreifels from Rocori in the first and second rounds respectively. She even made it to the championship, defeating Gagnon from Annandale.

But it wasn't just about Tarrolly. Sadie Mclean and Sophia Erickson from St. Cloud Crush also had a great run in doubles. They defeated Norah Nesges and Grace Kalkbrenner from Willmar in the first round and kept their winning streak going until they claimed the championship title against Groskreutz and Enerson from Becker. Switching over to boys soccer, there were some interesting games too. Rocori tied with St. Francis, while Bemidji lost to St. Cloud Cathedral. Jacob Oliver was the star of the Cathedral team, scoring all three goals for his team. There were also a few other matches that ended in ties – St. Cloud Apollo vs Irondale and St. Cloud Tech vs Park Center both ended with a score of 3-3.
