A former television personality, once known for helping families fix their homes, has been sentenced to 16 months behind bars after a recent DUI case. The judge denied any chance of probation, citing the defendant’s history of driving under the influence.  

The court proceedings began with a plea agreement that acknowledged guilt for driving while intoxicated, with a blood alcohol level of 0. 15 percent—almost twice the legal limit. The defendant also admitted to two earlier DUI offenses, which places him at a higher risk for more severe punishment if a fourth conviction occurs.  

Because of the repeat nature of these offenses, the judge chose to impose jail time rather than a suspended sentence. The defendant will receive credit for 57 days already spent in custody, but the remainder of the term remains mandatory.  

After serving the sentence, the former host will still face additional legal challenges. Unresolved warrants outside the county could require him to appear before other courts, potentially extending his legal troubles.  

The initial arrest took place in 2024 when local police apprehended the individual after a DUI incident involving multiple prior convictions. A separate misdemeanor charge of contempt of court was also recorded during the booking process.  

This case highlights how repeated traffic violations can lead to escalating penalties, especially when they involve high blood alcohol levels. It serves as a reminder that the legal system takes repeat offenses seriously, often resulting in longer periods of incarceration rather than community supervision.
