Flavors of the Past: Steak and Ale's Revival
MinnesotaFriday, September 20, 2024
The story of Steak and Ale's revival began when Dallas-based restaurant group Legendary Restaurant Brands acquired the intellectual property and rights to the chain, along with its sister chain, Bennigan's. The group's CEO, Paul Mangiamele, chose Minnesota as the first location for the new Steak and Ale because of the Twin Cities' reputation as a great restaurant town. The new location in Burnsville is attached to the Wyndham Hotel and features many of the same recipes that fans of the original chain will recognize.
While the new Steak and Ale has updated its menu to reflect modern tastes, it has also retained the basic DNA of the original recipes. This blend of old and new is sure to delight fans of the classic chain. Legendary Restaurant Brands plans to expand the Steak and Ale brand to other parts of Minnesota, with the goal of having around 15 locations across the Midwest.
