Firefly's Blue Ghost Lander Heads to the Moon
MoonThursday, December 19, 2024
NASA has been learning a lot from previous missions, like the ones from Astrobotic and Intuitive Machines. They're using that knowledge to plan more missions. Firefly has already been chosen for three other missions, including one that will provide radio services from orbit. Their first mission, Blue Ghost 1, is set to launch in mid-January.
Firefly's CEO, Jason Kim, is confident that they'll keep improving with each mission. He said they have a production line for these landers and they learn from each one to make the next one better.
